My Story: Helping Developers Land Jobs
PortfolioSets came from my own grind breaking into tech. I am focused on helping junior developers put their best foot forward, with sets I wish I had when I started.

Hi, I'm Milos
The foundation of my coding skills came from my schooling as well as a lot of independent studying. By the beginning of 2020, I started sending out job applications seriously, mostly for remote positions, and redrafted my portfolio and CV numerous times throughout this process.
However, the same year, with a pandemic running rampant and zero relevant work experience to back me up, I managed to persuade one agency to try me out. I was only twenty-three at the time, but that was the first remote position I ever held. In retrospect, I guess that getting a foot in the door was mostly due to persistence and how well I showcased myself.
Now, a few years later, having applied for more than four hundred positions in the field, I remember how difficult the initial stages were. This is why I founded PortfolioSets to ease the process for future developers with fully equipped sets I wished I had at the time. Now, as a side hustle, I am turning this into a product to increase your chances of landing that tech job.

My Journey
Learning & applying (early 2020)
I had the fundamentals from school and my own study, but breaking in meant proving myself on paper and online. I started applying at the beginning of 2020, kept refining my portfolio and resume, and submitted to remote role after remote role.
First remote role (2020)
With COVID disrupting everything and me at twenty-three with no prior industry experience, I still managed to persuade an agency to take a chance. That became my first remote job, and proof that a clear story and solid presentation matter.
Years in the market
Since then I have kept applying, interviewing, and learning across more than four hundred roles over the years. That volume taught me how noisy and competitive this market really is, and what actually moves the needle when you are new.
PortfolioSets today
I am turning a side project into a real product with curated sets that bundle portfolio code, resume support, and interview prep so you do not have to piece it together alone. My aim is to give you the same kind of head start I would have wanted at the beginning of my career.

Mission
I want to take portfolio-building off the critical path for juniors entering tech. Your first job should be about your skills and how you communicate them, not about whether you can design a site from scratch on day one.
Vision
I imagine a hiring process where every junior can show their real potential through professional, stack-aligned materials, even without a design agency budget to get noticed.
